Field- Trip!

Disclaimer: This is a nightmare. Gory details included. Readers discretion advised.

It was more like a symposium in the woods. There were a group of people who had come to stage a demonstration on the evolution of music and how it came about to positively affect out lives. We (a group of people part of the bystanding crowd), made way following the narrow trails between the bushes, creepers and thorns to reach the conference hall in the middle of nowhere.

Suddenly, one of our friends fell into quicksand. He was drowning fast and something had to be done quick. Another of my more 'masculine' friends had this idea to throw me in as a rope, with the help of which the drowning friend would be pulled out. Reluctantly, I agreed. He flung me towards him like a fisherman throws the net, but I was still out of his reach. He tried again, inching a little closer, but still no luck.

The third time he threw me, the other guy caught my leg and just as soon as he was about to be pulled out, a great crocodile (which was more dragon- esque), jumped up and bit the guy tearing him in half. Only his upper body managed to reach dry land. The 'masculine' guy who was pulling him out looked horrified and asked me not to turn around.

The scene changed and we were in one of the office rooms of the conference hall. I was pacing up and down the room and I could see the 'masculine' guy talking to a villainous man. I couldn't hear them, but I could see he was terrified. Curiosity got the better of me and I leaned closer to look at half of the body on the ground. His eyes were still wide open, so was his mouth. Somehow, his teeth seemed bigger. The whole of his half- body was covered in blood, and everything below the waist was eaten away. The villain seemed to be grinning.

As their talk ended, the villain walked into the office, looked at me, smiled and said, "You don't know, but you have done a great service. Your friend, on the other hand" pointing to the 'masculine' guy, "will be reprimanded severely for trying to save him."

He paused ad then said, "These musicians, they have not been of help to anyone. They are the reason the agriculture productivity has gone so low. They are next."

... wait.. what???!!!

Old to Young!

We almost always see ourselves as we are in our dreams. Albeit donning different costumes, behaving strangely or seldom mimicking the likes of somebody else. I saw myself as an inanimate object (was it inanimate, I wonder!). Like most of my dreams, this also takes place in outer space. Maybe I am reading too many NASA articles. I was a part of larger nebula far far away in the vast infinites. Like me too, there were other parts of the nebula who could talk among ourselves. I was a part of the genesis of our universe!! Apology for a past life

Before I continue with my day, diving into the typical charts and graphs and dry meetings, I would like to get a nagging feeling off my chest. Reincarnation was an interesting concept at best for me. And I paid it the same amount of heed, I would to teleportation. While I would cautiously describe myself as a spiritual person, I am generally agnostic. I was a powerful lord. One that was sadistic and ruthless. I had a list of sins that the devil would envy and God would be horrified at. Maybe I was Atilla the Hun or Genghis Khan. Although, neither of those explain my other traumas. I know now that this life is the one where I am forced to repent and serve my sentence. What may have warranted this cycle of misery? I often asked myself this question. It felt a tad overdone for petty crimes. A very graphic answer awaited in my dream, nay nightmare.
